Tim Burgess discusses the impact Blood Orange’s Dev Hynes had as co-producer on The Charlatans’ 14th album, We Are Love. He calls it “the Dev Touch,” describing it as a special moment of sparkle and chill where Hynes truly shines.
The band reunited at the famous Rockfield Studios in Wales for the first time since their 1997 album Tellin’ Stories. This visit was also the first since the death of original keyboardist Rob Collins during the making of that album.
“I call it the Dev Touch. It’s kind of like a moment of sparkle, a moment of chill where I think that Dev shines.”
