New Night Train to Connect Switzerland and Sweden

Tickets for the EuroNight service are expected to become available starting 4 November. A new night train is proposed to link Switzerland directly with Denmark and Sweden, joining Europe’s expanding night train network.

The project is pending approval from the Swiss Parliament and, if approved, will launch in mid-April 2026, operating three times weekly.

Route and Schedule

The Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) revealed plans for the train to run from Basel to Copenhagen, Denmark, and onward to Malmö, Sweden.

The entire journey covers approximately 1,400 kilometres.
