Laying of the First Poppy and Remembrance Sunday Parade in Middlesbrough

Middlesbrough will honor those who fought in global conflicts and made the ultimate sacrifice. Elected Mayor Chris Cooke is scheduled to lay the First Poppy at the Cenotaph on Linthorpe Road at 10:45 AM on Thursday, November 6.

Pupils from local schools are invited to place poppy crosses on the Field of Remembrance.

Remembrance Sunday Parade & Service

The parade and service will take place on Sunday, November 9, with the Mayor and other civic leaders attending. The parade will begin at 10:30 AM, proceeding to The Cenotaph for the service, ending around 12:30 PM.

For those who cannot attend in person, the service will be live-streamed on the Council's Facebook page.

Armistice Day Service

The Armistice Day service is set for Tuesday, November 11, at 10:45 AM at The Cenotaph and will include a two-minute silence.

Reverend David Goodhew, Vicar of St Barnabas Church in Middlesbrough, will lead the services.
