Netflix Announces 'Stranger Things: Tales From '85' Animated Series
Netflix will expand the Stranger Things universe with a new animated spinoff titled Stranger Things: Tales From '85, scheduled to premiere in 2026. The series is set between Seasons 2 and 3 of the hit supernatural drama.
Plot and Setting
The story unfolds in Hawkins during a cold winter of 1985 and follows Eleven, Mike, Max, Lucas, Dustin, Will, and Hopper as they investigate a paranormal mystery.
Creative Team and Production
The spinoff is developed by showrunner Eric Robles along with Stranger Things co-creators Matt and Ross Duffer.
"With animation there's really no limits," Ross Duffer says. "Eric and his team can just go wild, and they have."
