The 2025 Fall Mack Days Fishing Event on Flathead Lake, sponsored by the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes, concluded Sunday with a total of 19,144 lake trout entries, surpassing last year's 18,414.
A total of 335 anglers participated, with 116 submitting one or more lake trout. The Monday-Thursday catch totaled 5,369, while Friday-Sunday reached 13,775. Both periods exceeded the 2024 harvest of 3,811 and 14,603 respectively.
Jens Gran of Polson won all three Mack Days Bucket of Fish contests, catching a combined weight of 93.65 pounds of lake trout.
Veteran angler Terry Krogstad of Kalispell secured the Top Angler title with 1,206 entries and a 57.83 fish average over 18 days. Anglers are ranked based on their best 18 days of entries.
