Prince Harry revealed his stance on becoming a U.S. citizen, surprising many by stating he currently has no plans to do so. Despite living in the U.S. for five years, Harry, born in London as a member of the British royal family, maintains his British citizenship.
Since stepping back from royal duties, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle relocated to Montecito, California. They have built a life there, launching projects with Netflix through their company Archewell Productions and enjoying family time with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
During the “Royal Rapid Fire” segment on the Hasan Minhaj Doesn’t Know podcast, Harry was directly asked about his citizenship plans. He responded:
“There are no plans to be, at this point.”
While citizenship is not on the immediate agenda, Harry has embraced life in Los Angeles, including supporting local sports teams. He and Meghan were recently seen at Dodger Stadium on October 28, attending Game 4 of the 2025 World Series to cheer on the Los Angeles Dodgers against the Toronto Blue Jays.
