Dense Morning Fog Obscures Roads in the Northshore Area
A dense fog advisory is in effect Friday morning for northshore communities located north of Interstates 10 and 12 and east of Interstate 55, as reported by the National Weather Service (NWS).
Areas Affected by the Fog Advisory
- Slidell
- Hammond
- Franklinton
- Poplarville
- South Mississippi communities including Gulfport and Pascagoula

- Drive slowly and cautiously
- Use low beam headlights
- Allow extra time for travel
- Be prepared for rapid changes in visibility
“We are expecting fog to develop early in the morning and have issued a Dense Fog Advisory from 1 a.m. to 8 a.m. for areas generally north of I-10/12 and east of I-55. Check the graphics for location and timing details, as well as a couple safety tips.”
