Star Trek: The Next Generation left a lasting mark on viewers who followed Captain Jean-Luc Picard and his crew through the late 1980s and 1990s. Now, those memories can take physical form with a remarkable Lego release.
Lego is introducing a model of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D, featuring a detachable saucer section and a working shuttle bay with an opening door. Inside, builders will find two miniature shuttlepods ready to dock or launch.
The replica includes over 3,600 pieces and measures 10.5 inches high, 23.5 inches long, and 18.5 inches wide. The warp nacelles are decorated with unique red and blue accents that mirror the look of the starship as seen on television. A display plaque identifies the ship's class, registry number, launch date, and its fictional construction site at the Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards on Mars.
The collectible set includes nine minifigures from the series, each accompanied by an accessory that reflects their character. Captain Picard comes with a teacup, and Commander Riker is equipped with his trombone and stand.
