The first footage from Avengers: Doomsday will premiere surprisingly early. Collider reports that the trailer will be shown before screenings of Avatar: Fire and Ash, James Cameron's upcoming threequel scheduled to release on December 19, 2025.
This means fans will get a first look at Avengers: Doomsday almost exactly one year prior to its release on December 18, 2026.
Previously, the Avengers: Infinity War trailer dropped around six months before its launch, while Avengers: Endgame held back for five months, offering limited footage mainly from the first 30 minutes.
The early 12-month teaser for Doomsday could indicate Marvel Studios’ strong confidence in the film, setting the stage for widespread speculation about this highly anticipated project.
The film features a mix of familiar faces and new additions. Robert Downey Jr. is confirmed to return, alongside casts from Fantastic Four and Thunderbolts, as well as several MCU heroes and legacy X-Men characters.
The full cast was unveiled in March during a six-hour livestream event.
Recently, Gambit actor Channing Tatum fueled excitement by suggesting that Avengers: Doomsday could become the biggest film of the decade.
The early unveiling of the Avengers: Doomsday trailer ahead of Avatar: Fire and Ash highlights Marvel’s high hopes and ramps up excitement for this major cinematic event nearly a year before release.
