November offers plenty of fresh television, from the return of popular BBC dramas to new Channel 4 releases featuring familiar faces. Here’s what viewers can look forward to this month.
The BBC's long-running crime series Shetland is back for its tenth season, starring DI Ruth Calder (Ashley Jensen) and DI Alison "Tosh" McIntosh (Alison O'Donnell). The new episodes promise deeper mysteries and emotional twists in their island community.
The synopsis hints at "dark secrets and terrible deeds at the heart of this close-knit community."
Season 10 will consist of six episodes, airing from 5 November at 9 p.m. on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
Described as "a coming-of-age drama for both mothers and daughters," Wild Cherry introduces Juliet (Eve Best) — a devoted mother — and Lorna (Carmen Ejogo), a successful entrepreneur. Their teenage daughters, Grace (Imogen Faires) and Allegra (Amelia May), become embroiled in a scandal at their elite private school.
This six-part series, created and written by Nicôle Lecky (who previously brought Mood to BBC), will premiere on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in November.
Alongside these titles, Channel 4 debuts a new series led by Dougray Scott, while fans anticipate the return of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, adding even more variety to the month’s lineup.
November’s TV lineup blends returning favorites like Shetland with fresh dramas such as Wild Cherry, delivering mystery, emotion, and variety for every viewer.
