The Dolphins’ defense, currently ranked 30th in the NFL against the run by allowing 145.6 yards per game and recording only one interception, is expected to play without two key starters in the upcoming game versus Buffalo.
“I’m preparing as though Rasul won’t play, but I’m leaving the door open,” said McDaniel about Douglas’s availability.
“Chop Robinson is in the same position — I’m prepared for him not to play, but not ruling it out,” McDaniel added.
If Douglas is sidelined, Ethan Bonner is expected to start as cornerback.
The Dolphins rank 24th overall in total defense, allowing 343.7 yards per game, and losing these key defensive players could further challenge their performance against Buffalo.
