Adam Azim Desperate to Take His Frustrations Out on Kurt Scoby

Adam Azim spoke to The Ring about a frustrating eight months away from the ring and his upcoming November 15 bout against Kurt Scoby.

Unusual Fight Morning

London, England – On the morning of his scheduled fight against Eliot Chavez, Adam Azim sensed something was off. The usual fight day energy was missing as he woke up alone in his hotel room.

"Usually someone will come and wake me up or knock on the door and check everything’s good," Azim told The Ring. "There are always people around and I can hear the team from my bedroom. But that morning I woke up and nobody was around, not even my dad or anyone else from the team."

Despite this, Azim tried to prepare as usual, watching boxing videos and shadow boxing. Then, Shane McGuigan knocked on his door.

"I open it and there’s Shane who looks a bit upset and angry. I asked him what was going on and he just said ‘fight’s off’."

Fight Canceled Due to Weight Cut Violation

Chavez, a 30-year-old Mexican boxer, had been seen in a sauna during his weight cut. According to British Boxing Board of Control rules, this made him ineligible to fight Azim.

Upcoming Challenge

After a long period out of competition, Azim is determined to channel his frustration into his next fight against Kurt Scoby on November 15.

Key Points

Adam Azim is eager to rebound from a stalled period in his career and prove himself in the ring once again.
