Record stores around the world hosted “Ego Nite” to mark the vinyl release of Hayley Williams’ third solo album, Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party. During the event, Williams unveiled another unexpected song titled “Showbiz.”
The new track follows “Good Ol Days” and “Parachute,” which were added after the album’s original 17-song release earlier this summer through her label Post Atlantic, distributed by Secretly Distribution. “Showbiz” was co-written with producer and longtime collaborator Daniel James, who helped shape the entire project.
The song depicts Williams reflecting on an intimate night within the haze and pulse of a crowded club. It captures her desire and uncertainty through vivid, smoky imagery and introspective contrast between fleeting thrill and emotional significance.
“I wanna do it again, I wanna dance in the strobe lights, I wanna choke on the smoke and feel your eyes on me,”
The track’s visualizer blends Nashville’s skyline with Williams’ signature doodle motifs, keeping the album’s artistic tone consistent. The “Ego Nite” celebrations included record playbacks, merchandise, and exclusive copies of the LP for fans to enjoy.
A candid and atmospheric release, “Showbiz” captures Hayley Williams’ signature mix of vulnerability and energy while expanding the rich palette of her third solo album.
