The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) announced the postponement of its scheduled double-header on Sunday, November 9, 2025, because of Typhoon Uwan (international name: Fung-Wong) threatening parts of the Philippines.
“In light of the incoming Super Typhoon Uwan, and with the safety of our fans, players, officials, and staff as our top priority, the PBA has decided to postpone its Sunday, November 9 games,” the league said in a statement.
The games were initially set to take place at the Ynares Montalban arena. TNT Tropang Giga (5–1) are defending a four-game winning streak, having previously defeated Converge, Titan Ultra, Meralco, and Terrafirma in an overtime thriller. Magnolia aims to recover from a narrow 92–94 loss to San Miguel Beermen.
In the other matchup, Barangay Ginebra is coming off an impressive 104–74 win over NLEX, while Titan Ultra recently secured a 97–86 victory against Blackwater, building momentum before the weather-related postponement.
The PBA postponed its November 9 double-header for safety reasons as Typhoon Uwan approaches, affecting key matchups between top-performing teams.
