Eight postcodes in the North East, including one in County Durham, have won thousands of pounds in the postcode lottery during the week of November 1 to November 7. Areas such as Consett, Saltburn, and Middlesbrough are among the winners, each receiving £1,000 prizes.
The People’s Postcode Lottery is a subscription-based lottery designed to support charities while awarding cash prizes across the UK. Every day, 20 different postcodes win £1,000 prizes, with larger jackpots of £30,000 available on weekends for every ticket in a winning postcode.
At least 33% of each ticket's cost is donated to charity. Since its inception in 2005, players have contributed over £950 million to more than 9,000 charities and good causes.
