On November 9, 33-year-old South Korean artist Hyuna fainted during her performance of the 2011 hit "Bubble Pop!" at the Waterbomb Macau music festival. Videos shared on social media captured the moment she suddenly collapsed mid-performance.
Two backup dancers quickly came to her aid, and a security staff member carried her offstage, according to News.Az citing foreign media. This incident has reignited concern about Hyuna's health, as fans await official updates.
Later that day, Hyuna posted on Instagram apologizing to her fans and assuring them she was fine. She wrote in Korean:
“I’m truly sorry. It was only a short time since my last performance, but I wanted to show you my best side.”
She also mentioned she had no memory of fainting and apologized to the Macau audience who had paid to see her perform.
“I’ll try to build up my stamina and work hard consistently. It will be so great if everything goes my way, but I’ll try my best.”
Hyuna, full name Kim Hyun-ah, has worried fans before due to a post on October 3 about her eating habits and weight. Addressing herself in the third person, she wrote:
“Hyun-ah, you ate way too much. Let’s snap out of it and go on a strict diet. You liked being skinny, right?”
