Jetstar Launches Direct Flights from Sunshine Coast to Bali
Jetstar (JQ) will begin operating direct flights connecting Sunshine Coast Airport (MCY) to Bali’s Denpasar Airport (DPS) starting 25 March 2026. Fares for the new service will start at $199.
Flight Details and Benefits
- Flights will operate three times weekly using Airbus A321LR aircraft.
- Each flight will take approximately six hours.
- The route offers around 70,000 seats annually.
- This service eliminates the need for Sunshine Coast travellers to drive to Brisbane (BNE) for international departures.
- Passengers gain easier access to Bali’s beaches and cultural attractions without layovers.
- The route provides onward connections to Singapore (SIN) via Denpasar.
Significance for Jetstar and the Region
This new Sunshine Coast–Bali connection is Jetstar’s first direct route between these destinations and its tenth Australia-Bali service.
“An easy international getaway” that aligns with Jetstar’s network growth and rising demand for affordable travel, said Stephanie Tully, Jetstar CEO.
She described the launch as a significant milestone that enhances convenience and affordability for travellers in South-East Queensland, where Jetstar remains the largest carrier.
