North Lincolnshire Unites to Honour the Armed Forces

North Lincolnshire will pay tribute to the service and sacrifice of its armed forces on Remembrance Sunday at a parade and remembrance service in Scunthorpe on Sunday, 9 November.

Event Details

Parade Route and Ceremony

The parade will include serving personnel, veterans, military organisations, and uniformed groups. It will proceed along Doncaster Road to the Cenotaph outside North Lincolnshire Museum.

The remembrance service will commence at 10:45 AM with an Act of Remembrance, followed by a two-minute silence at 11:00 AM and wreath laying ceremonies.

Afterwards, the parade will return to The Baths Hall via Vicarage Gardens, where refreshments and a time for reflection will be offered.

Cllr Carol Ross, Mayor of North Lincolnshire, said: “It is a privilege to lead our community in remembering and honouring the immense contribution of our armed forces – those who serve today and those who have served.”

This annual event unites the community in solemn tribute to those who have served and continue to serve in the armed forces.
