Rookie Beckett Sennecke recorded his first two-goal game, and Leo Carlsson added two power-play scores as the Anaheim Ducks defeated the Winnipeg Jets 4-1 on Sunday night at Honda Center.
The government shutdown may have ended, but the Jets remained grounded as the Ducks continued their dominant run, extending their winning streak to seven games — their longest since the 2021–22 season. Anaheim has now claimed nine of its last ten matchups, showing the form of one of the league’s most consistent teams.
“I heard about the losing days of the past couple years from the older guys, and they’re pretty pumped right now,”
Sennecke said, reflecting on the team’s turnaround.
In their current surge, the Ducks have defeated the reigning two-time Stanley Cup champions twice, a Western Conference finalist, and another 2025 playoff contender. During this streak, victories also came against the 2025 Pacific Division champions in Vegas and last year’s Presidents’ Trophy winners.
Next, Anaheim heads to Denver for a high-stakes battle against the Colorado Avalanche — currently the NHL’s two top teams by points percentage.
“It’ll be a good challenge for us. We knew that our schedule had a bunch of tough teams in a row here, and I think we’re proving why we’re an established team,”
Sennecke added.
Leo Carlsson’s offensive performance now places him tied with Chicago prospect Connor Bedard for second in league scoring, trailing only Colorado’s Nathan MacKinnon.
Anaheim extends its hot streak to seven straight wins, led by standout performances from Beckett Sennecke and Leo Carlsson, proving the Ducks’ return as a powerhouse in the NHL.
