Royal Mail has issued a notice informing customers in specific postcode areas that deliveries may be delayed due to local operational issues. The postal service stated that certain regions are currently affected by staffing shortages, logistical disruptions, or local conditions impacting their daily delivery schedule.
The areas with reported delays include postcodes beginning with AL, EN, HP, LU, SG, WD, DE, and NG. Residents in these regions are advised to expect slower than usual mail and parcel deliveries until normal service resumes.
"We are working hard to deliver as comprehensively as possible, but some areas may experience reduced service temporarily,"
said a Royal Mail spokesperson.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank our customers for their patience."
Royal Mail recommends that customers in affected areas allow extra time for delivery and check the official Royal Mail Service Update page for the most recent information on their postcode status.
Author Summary: Royal Mail announced temporary delivery delays across 25 postcodes due to local issues and apologised as teams work to restore full service.
