'The Best Christmas Pageant Ever' returns to The Evergreen Playhouse

The Evergreen Playhouse in Centralia brings back The Best Christmas Pageant Ever for its full run after a prior cancellation. The previous production occurred in December 2021 and was cut short due to COVID-19, but the show returns with a new director, cast, and crew for performances December 5–21. Shows run at 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, with a Sunday matinee at 2:00 p.m.; there is a special 2:00 p.m. performance on Saturday, December 13 to avoid conflicting with the Centralia Lighted Tractor Parade. A pay-what-you-can performance is scheduled for Thursday, December 11. Tickets are $17 for adults and $14 for youth, students, and seniors, available online or at the door if seats remain. The play is suitable for all ages and runs about 1 hour 30 minutes, including a 15-minute intermission. The cast list includes Beverly (Leighton Hughes-Hernandez), Shirley/Nurse (Madison Scharber), David (Cassius Samples), Mrs. Armstrong (Lucy Page), Mrs. Clausing/Rev. Hopkins (Emily Fitzgerald), Mrs. Slocum/Mildred (Lily Eygabroat), and Mrs. McCarthy (Nicole Galyean). The crew features Director Yvonne MacNeely, with stage management by Matthew Michael and Magdelena Burgman, scenery by Isaac and Nathaniel McKenzieSullivan, costumes by Janelle Lunzman, lighting by Danielle Kays, and other production staff handling props, posters, and house management.
