Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly expressed his gratitude to President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and US President Donald Trump for their efforts to end the war in Gaza.
"In coordination with mediation partners, led by the US, Qatar, and Turkey, Egypt has achieved great success in reaching a peace agreement and ending the war in the Gaza Strip, putting an end to the humanitarian suffering endured by Palestinian brethren in Gaza for two years,"
Madbouly stated during a news conference. He also recalled President Sisi's commitment to the Palestinian cause, quoting him as saying:
