NWTI Opens $8 Million Ammonia Refrigeration Center, Marks 50th Anniversary
Over 100 people attended an invitation-only event at Northwest Technical Institute (NWTI) in Springdale to celebrate the opening of its new $8 million Ammonia Refrigeration and Boiler Training Facility and the school's 50th anniversary.
The 19,000-square-foot training facility offers the only ammonia refrigeration program in Arkansas and features equipment found in only three other facilities in the United States.
Dave Millé, president of Mid-South Steam Boiler & Engineering Co., talked about the boiler equipment he donated to NWTI.
The event was held on a chilly Thursday evening, October 30.
