Argentina's President Javier Milei, known for his fascistic views, won a surprise victory in the country's mid-term elections on October 26.
The outcome of the election saw Milei's party, La Libertad Avanza (LLA), gain seats and obtain over 40 percent of the vote nationally across both houses.
The elections renewed 127 seats in the Chamber of Deputies and 24 in the Senate.
Despite the media's portrayal of the outcome as a popular endorsement of Milei's economic austerity agenda, the mid-terms saw the lowest turnout since the end of the dictatorship in 1983.
The low turnout and election results expose the bankruptcy of Peronism and pseudo-leftist FIT-U.
