The New Democrats appear to be leaving the door open to supporting the minority Liberal government’s budget, preventing another 2025 election.
The minority Liberals are three seats shy of a majority.
Interim NDP leader Don Davies said there are both positives and negatives in the budget, and his party will take the time to study it and talk to Canadians.
“It’s hard to tell at this point”
if the document is “an austerity budget,” which the NDP had pledged to oppose, Davies replied.
