António Horta-Osório Returns to Banking

Former Lloyds Banking Group CEO António Horta-Osório has joined Crédit Commercial de France as deputy chair.

Horta-Osório, 61, left Lloyds in 2021 after 10 years as CEO and resigned as chair of Credit Suisse in 2022 for breaking Covid quarantine rules.

I regret that a number of my personal actions have led to difficulties for the bank and compromised my ability to represent the bank internally and externally.

He added:

I therefore believe that my resignation is in the interest of the bank and its stakeholders at this crucial time.

This move marks his return to banking after almost four years.
