Employers and Government Partner to Build Healthier Workplaces

Over 60 major and numerous small employers are collaborating with the government to address the growing number of people out of work due to ill health.

This joint effort, developed in response to Sir Charlie Mayfield's Keep Britain Working Review, aims to prevent ill-health, support individuals in staying at work, and help employers build healthier and more resilient workplaces.

The Review estimates that one in five working-age adults is out of work due to health reasons, costing businesses £85 billion annually from sickness, turnover, and lost productivity.

In response, the government will partner with employers to reshape how health issues and disabilities are managed in the workplace.

are among the early adopters of proposals set out in the Keep Britain Working Review, which will help refine workplace health approaches over the next three years to build the evidence base for what works.
