Body of Girl Feared Drowned in Boat Capsize Recovered
A five-year-old girl's body was recovered from the Ghaghra River near the Lakhimpur border, officials reported on Wednesday.
The girl had been missing since a boat capsized in the Katarniaghat forest area on October 29, resulting in the deaths of five people, with four still missing.
- 22 passengers were on the boat when it capsized in the Kaudiyala River.
- 13 people were rescued on the night of the incident.
- One person, Ramjeyi, 60, died on the way to the hospital.
The body of Komal, daughter of Pancham from the Matera area, was found near Bokariha village in Lakhimpur Kheri district on Tuesday.
A search for the missing individuals is ongoing.
