Edinburgh Trams to Commemorate Remembrance Day
Edinburgh Trams will honor Remembrance Sunday (9 November) and Armistice Day (11 November) to pay tribute to those who lost their lives in World War I, World War II, and recent conflicts.
Free Travel for Veterans and Servicemen
To recognize the sacrifices of armed forces members, Edinburgh Trams will offer free travel on both days to veterans and active personnel of the Army, Navy, and Air Force. Eligibility requires showing military ID or wearing a uniform.
Remembrance Activities
- Members of Poppy Scotland will be at Haymarket tram stop selling poppies before the remembrance days.
- Poppies will also be displayed in tram windows as a sign of respect.
- Where safety permits, tram services will pause at 11 a.m. to observe a two-minute silence on both days.
