Communities throughout Inverness will gather this weekend to solemnly commemorate those who have died in conflicts. The city’s main Remembrance Sunday parade and service will take place at the Cavell Gardens war memorial, drawing hundreds of participants and spectators.
Besides the city center, residents in nearby towns and villages will observe quiet gatherings at local war memorials to honor the sacrifices made by servicemembers.
The Remembrance service is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. and will feature a two-minute silence, wreath laying, and readings by Charleston Academy pupils.

Veterans affected by sight loss will also gather at the Inverness War Memorial as part of the day’s observances, contributing to the community’s heartfelt remembrance.
