Thelma Woodman Lafferty, age 90, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025, at a nursing home in Bangor. She was born on May 17, 1935, to Laurence and Rene (Bailey) Bernardini.
Thelma worked at GTE Sylvania and enjoyed outdoor activities like camping and playing bingo.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Lysle (Tena) Woodman; second husband, Arthur Lafferty; son Joey Woodman; daughter Tammy Bryant; two sisters; four brothers; and sons-in-law Junior, Eddie, and Perley.
Thelma is survived by one sister, Anna Hamel; children Gloria Thibodeau, Norma Gray and her husband Marvin, Tina Daigle and her husband Dan, Shirley Grant and her husband Les, and Evelyn Morin. She also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
The family expresses their gratitude to the staff at West Gate for their compassionate care.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on October 15, 2025, at Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Bucksport.
