Martin Scorsese Virtual Production Center Collaborates with Lavazza

On Wednesday, October 29, the Martin Scorsese Virtual Production Center at Industry City hosted a special event featuring Martin Scorsese and his daughter Francesca Scorsese. The occasion marked a collaboration with the Italian coffee brand Lavazza to inaugurate a new café within the Center.

The event gathered alumni, students, and invited guests of the NYU Tisch Martin Scorsese Virtual Production Center to celebrate the café’s opening and Lavazza’s support of the space. Martin Scorsese, a Tisch Dean’s Council member and alumnus, attended alongside Francesca Scorsese, who recently graduated from the Kanbar Institute of Film & TV.

Scorsese reflected on the cultural importance of cafés in his youth and career, noting that such places often spark genuine creativity and artistic exchange.
