Earlier this fall, Jimmy Kimmel made headlines when his ABC late night talk show was suspended indefinitely. Fortunately, Jimmy Kimmel Live! made a comeback soon after, with its returning episode breaking previous ratings records.
However, an episode scheduled for Thursday, November 6, was unexpectedly cancelled. TV Insider reported that the guests for that show were planned to be David Duchovny from Malice, Joe Keery from Stranger Things, and musical guest Madison Beer.
No official reason has been given by Jimmy Kimmel, ABC, or any representatives yet.
LateNighter claimed the cancellation was due to a personal matter. An unverified email, allegedly from the show's audience team and shared on the Jimmy Kimmel Reddit forum, expressed "apologies for any inconvenience."
It is still unclear if an official explanation will confirm or deny these claims.
Although fans missed the chance to see Duchovny, Keery, and Beer on the November 6 episode, the news isn’t all negative. Joe Keery's appearance was especially notable as it was expected shortly after the Stranger Things Season 5 world premiere event on Netflix.
Jimmy Kimmel Live! quickly rebounded after suspension, though a recent episode was cancelled for personal reasons, with no official explanation provided yet.
