KATSEYE on Their Grammy Nominations: “We Grew Up Watching and Dreaming About Moments Like This”

KATSEYE Reflects on Grammy Nominations

The international girl group KATSEYE, whose popularity skyrocketed this year, has earned Grammy nominations in two major categories: Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

“We grew up watching and dreaming about moments like this, and seeing it become real feels surreal.”

The members expressed deep gratitude to the Recording Academy and to the artists nominated alongside them.

“We’re so thankful to the Recording Academy for this recognition and to all the incredible artists nominated alongside us. Most of all, thank you to our fans, our Eyekons, for supporting us every step of the way.”

KATSEYE faces strong competition for Best New Artist, going up against Olivia Dean, The Marías, Addison Rae, Sombr, Leon Thomas, Alex Warren, and Lola Young. Last year’s winner, Chappell Roan, announced this year’s nominees during Friday’s Grammy livestream.

Journey from Dream to Global Stage

The group’s rise has been shaped by media exposure, including the Netflix documentary Popstar Academy, which followed their transformation from hopeful trainees to global sensations. KATSEYE was originally formed through the YouTube series Dream Academy, a collaboration between Hybe and Geffen Records aimed at creating the first truly global girl group.
