Drink-Driver Banned for Five Years
A 61-year-old drink-driver, Jon Sigurdor Magnusson, has been banned from driving for five years and given a suspended sentence.
Magnusson was more than three and a half times the limit, blowing a reading of 124, after his vehicle nearly collided with another car on Finch Road in Douglas.
- He was sentenced to 60 days custody, suspended for two years.
- He must take an extended driving test and complete a drink-driving rehabilitation course after his ban.
A witness reported that Magnusson was staggering and struggling to walk after getting out of his truck.
