The Newman Catholic girls volleyball team is heading back to the Division 5 state championship match after a commanding sweep of Florence in the state semifinal at the Resch Center in Green Bay on Thursday morning.
Senior captain Camille Sobolewski led the Cardinals with 24 kills, showcasing leadership and composure on the big stage. Setter Kate Kerns contributed 19 assists, maintaining a strong and balanced offensive flow that kept Florence struggling.
Newman Catholic, the 2024 state runner-up, aims to secure its first state title since 2021 with one final victory. They will face #3 Rib Lake in the Division 5 State Championship on Saturday at 9:00 a.m., also at the Resch Center in Green Bay.
