Antonio Brown Extradited from Dubai to Face Trial in Miami Shooting Case

Former NFL star Antonio Brown has been extradited from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to the United States to stand trial for an attempted murder related to a shooting incident in Miami earlier this year, Miami police confirmed Thursday.

Brown, 37, is currently held in Essex County, New Jersey, awaiting extradition to Miami-Dade County, according to Miami police. The precise timing of his arrest and transfer to Miami-Dade remains unclear.

“This is just another example of the relentless work and dedication of Miami Police detectives, working closely with the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office and U.S. Marshals to identify and arrest those who commit crimes in the City of Miami,” police stated.

The attempted murder charge arises from a dispute that took place on May 16 during a boxing event hosted by influencer Adin Ross. Brown’s social media shows he was living in Dubai for several months before his arrest.

After the arrest warrant was issued in June, Brown had legal representation who secured a $10,000 bond and house arrest for him. However, he never surrendered to authorities, and police did not confirm whether they planned to extradite him until now.
